Built to
outlast
you.
Portland, Oregon. Four athletes, one shed, and a singular belief: the gear you train in should be as relentless as you are. No compromise. No shortcuts. Never settle.
The lab behind
the legend.
HERBIE started in 2019 in a 400-square-foot workshop in Southeast Portland. No investors. No MBA. Just a CNC machine, a last, a heat press, and a stubborn refusal to put anything mediocre into the world.
The first product — a carbon-plate trainer called the OG-1 — sold out in 48 minutes. Not because of marketing, but because runners told runners. That same peer-to-peer energy still drives every drop today.
We still prototype on foot. We still test on six continents. And we still refuse to sell anything we wouldn't race in ourselves. Every shoe, every kit, every piece of gear passes through human hands before it reaches yours.
What we stand for.
No-Compromise Engineering
Every material, every stitch, every bond is tested to failure before it ships. If it can't survive a Portland winter and a Death Valley summer, it doesn't get a SKU.
Athlete-First Community
We don't do focus groups. We do run clubs. Our testers are real runners, lifters, and ball players who tell us exactly what sucks so we can fix it.
Radical Accountability
60-day no-questions returns. Lifetime support on every product. If it breaks, we replace it. No fine print. No runaround. Just accountability.
